Hobbas are experianced Habbo players that have been granted extra powers in order to help other players. In effect they are like assistant moderators. New hobbas are given the ability to mute a room meaning that nothing anyone types will appear in the room, and also to alert, meaning you will get a popup box appearing on your screen with a message with a specific message.

How do I become a Hobba?
Applications will not open until December. To be considered to be a Hobba you must not have had any bans at all. Even if you have been banned for something that you feel was unjust it will still count against you. You have to have been a Habbo for at least 90 days, have at least five furnished rooms and should have bought coins before.
When applications are open there will probably be am announcement on the front page (www.HabboHotel.com) and/or in the Newsletter. Those wishing to apply must go through several stages the first of which is the filling in of the application form. If you see an "application form" for .US on a site other than www.HabboHotel.com or recieve an email about applying then it is FAKE and should be reported immediatly.
What is a Moderator?
Moderators have more powers and are able to ban bad users from the hotel site. All mods have MOD- before their name. Note that this is a capital O and not the number 0. Anyone claiming to be a mod that does not have this before their name is lying.
All habbo staff, Moderators and Hobbas are asked to keep their badge switched on at all times. So if you are unsure if someone claiming to be Habbo staff is being truthful, click on them to see if they have a badge or not. This should appear in the same place as the regular HC badges.

How do I become a Moderator?
Moderators have already been chosen and usually if more are required then they will be chosen from amongst the existing Hobbas or Hotel Staff.
