If you have been scammed you must first Change your password and if possible the email address that you signed up with. If you need to make a new email address for this purpose it is best that you change your passsword before going to sign up for one. If you are in need of a new email address, visit Hotmail or Yahoo.

You must next report the hacker/scammer and after this the required action depends on how your account was hacked.

Some Common Scams
The following items have been traded as "rares" but are Scripted And therefore illegal. You will not only loose the furni you traded for them, but possibly also your own account
Some people will also try to gain furni by saying one of the following things:
Scam sites
Some habbos will advertise sites that offer you free coins or downloads. Downloads such as Flooders, Furni cloners etc. will probably contain keyloggers. And you should NEVER fill in a form on a site that asks for your password just as you should never tell anyone face to face or in any other way.
Game Rooms
Some people will scam you in game rooms and/or furni shops by either not giving you a prize, asking you to pay to kik another player from the room and then kiking you instead, or inviting you to trade more than the six items that can fit into the trade box for one item.
Password Scams
Some people will ask for your password or ask you to change your password to something specific for one of the following reasons:
Scam Sites
Scam sites are those that request you to Download something and/or ask you to supply your habbo name and password. These sites will NOT give you coins/credits, rares, furni cloners or flooding tools.
Trading Scams
First of all when trading it is VERY important that you don't trade for anything that is inside a gift box. You do not know that the item inside is actually what the other habbo says it is. It's very likely that the item inside is a normal piece of catalogue furni, probably something for one credit like a stool or a doormat.
A lot of people will also try to rip you off by saying a furni is worth a lot more than it actually is or will try to trade you scripted furni, saying that theyr'e rares.

Many habbos will also try to offer to advertise or paint your room for furni or even to trade you rares on one Hotel site for rares on another. These people are lying and will steal your furni.
Phone Scams
Some people will ask you to call the coins line and type in a specific "cheat code" to get free coins. This is untrue. They are supplying you with their habbos own assigned coins code which means you are effectivly buying coins for them It will show up on your next bill and you will have nothing to show for it.
